COURSE INFORMATION

Duration & Experience Required

‍The duration of the course includes three days of preparation and practice, followed by a two-day examination period during which each candidate will undergo approximately 6 hours of assessment. The student-to-instructor ratio is kept low, with a maximum of five and a minimum of four candidates per boat to ensure personalized attention and effective learning.

Experience required:​​

Candidates aiming for the Yachtmaster Offshore certification must meet specific prerequisites, including

  • A minimum of 50 days of sailing time, covering 2,500 miles, and demonstrating skipper experience in various sailing conditions.

  • They must also hold a GMDSS restricted radio operator's certificate or higher.

  • A valid first aid certificate.

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Similarly, candidates pursuing the Yachtmaster Coastal certification must fulfill prerequisites related to sailing time, miles sailed, night sailing experience, and relevant certificates while being at least 17 years old.

What should you bring

Even in Ibiza, there can be sudden shifts in weather when you are sailing in the open sea. You should come prepared with a variety of clothing options and plenty of sun protection. You should bring along the recommended list of items found on the Following page.
